Description
The planning and development process in Victoria continues to face significant bottlenecks and challenges for both public and private sector participants. By streamlining workflows, reducing manual processes, and improving decision-making, AI has the potential to free up time for practitioners to focus on higher-value, strategic work.
The Australasia Property Advisory Association, in partnership with Spero-ai , is exploring how AI can be effectively applied within the Victorian planning system. James Mant (Co-Founder of Spero-AI) and Anthony Jansen (Executive Committee Board Member at APAA) will explore:
· The need for the development approvals system to adopt more practical, shared solutions to address poor inputs, delay, duplication and unnecessary friction
· How AI should focus on real workflow problems and practical impactful tools, not abstract use cases
· The importance of collaboraton between technology providers, peak bodeis, industry and government in developing solutions
· The importance of trust in technology through security, accuracy, transparency and accountability, but also through true collaboration.
· Developing a collaborative pilot to test and refine practical solutions that save time and create value across the approvals process for all parties.
